Yes. You can use any computer that has Internet access and a browser with 128-bit security. That means you can pay bills and access your account at home, at work, or from a laptop.

  • How current is the online statement information?

When you connect to Online Banking, you will receive information on all of your account activity for the last two statements. The online information is current and displays all activity conducted through F&M Trust such as electronic deposits and cleared checks, plus transactions at ATMs and merchant point-of-sale terminals.

  • How do I enroll in Online Banking?

  • How long does it take for bills to be paid online?

It is necessary that all Scheduled Payment Dates selected by you be no less than five Business Days before the actual due date, not a late date and/or a date in the grace period. (For example, the payment should be entered no later than Monday before 8 p.m., Eastern Time [ET], for a payment to arrive on Friday.) Payment Instructions entered after the 8:00 p.m. ET Cutoff Time or on a non-Business Day will be considered entered in the Service on the next Business Day. If you properly follow the procedures described herein, and the Service fails to send a payment according to the Payment Instructions received, the Service will bear responsibility for all late charges (up to $50 per late payment). In any other event, including but not limited to choosing a Scheduled Payment Date which is not five Business Days before the due date or on or past the due date stated on your invoice or bill, the risk of incurring and the responsibility for paying any and all late charges or penalties shall be borne by you.

  • How much does it cost?

Accessing account information through Online Banking is FREE to all personal account customers. Bill Pay comes FREE with your personal Online Banking account.

  • How secure is Online Banking?

An outstanding feature of this system is its multiple security levels. Simply stated, F&M Trust’s Online Banking uses a combination of the latest security technologies to protect data. To get more technical, our system features password-controlled entry, authentication, and Secure Socket Layer (SSL) protocol for data encryption and state-of-the-art firewall protection. Regulation E applies to Online Banking just like our Debit MasterCard, and liability on unauthorized electronic transactions is limited to $50.00 for transactions that are reported in a timely manner.

Please note: You will not be accessing F&M Trust's host computer when using online banking. When you request access for this service, your account information for Online Banking will be hosted on a separate server with all the appropriate firewalls and multiple layers of protection described above.

  • What can I do with F&M Trust’s Online Banking?

You can check balances, review account histories, transfer funds between accounts, reorder checks, and issue stop payments. You will also have the option to use our Online Bill Pay service to pay bills. You can also communicate with F&M Trust through email.

  • What equipment and software will I need?

You can access F&M Trust’s Online Banking from any computer that has Internet access. For best results, use the most recent version of one of the following browsers: Internet Explorer, Safari, Chrome, Firefox or Edge.

  • What if I forget my password?

If you forget your Online Banking password, you can call us at (888) 264-6116 to have your password reset. You'll be asked to provide additional personal information that will verify your identification. Your password will then be reset and instructions to proceed will be sent to the email address that is on file with us. (It is very important to keep your email information up to date.) You will also have the ability to change your password online whenever you wish.

  • What is Online Banking?

Online Banking lets you do your banking right from your PC at home or in the office. You now have access to all your banking information through the Internet. It's as easy as point and click. The safe and secure way to bank from your PC is available at F&M Trust.

  • What accounts can I access through Online Banking?

You may access any account on which you are an authorized signer. Checking, savings, money market, and loan accounts can be accessed through our Online Banking system. Transfers may be made between checking, savings, and money market accounts. You can even make payments on any loan through a transfer from your checking, savings, or money market account.

  • Which bills will I be able to pay through Online Bill Pay?

You can pay almost anyone with a valid address in the United States -- from utilities to credit cards to your newspaper carrier. However, government regulations do not allow you to make payments for alimony, maintenance, child support, taxes, or other governmental fees and court-directed payments through this service.

  • What is Enhanced Authentication?

As online fraud techniques have become more sophisticated, the Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council (FFIEC) has called on banks to make Online Banking access more secure. F&M Trust has taken a proactive approach to protect our customers by implementing a new Online Banking login process for personal and business accounts.

  • How does Enhanced Authentication work?

In addition to your username and security login code, the new system recognizes your computer / device usage patterns. When it notices a questionable login attempt, or a login attempt on a new computer or device, it will prompt for additional information to authenticate the login request. If you are trying to access their accounts from a device outside of your normal usage, the system will attempt to verify that the device belongs to you and not a cybercriminal.

  • How is Enhanced Authentication more secure?

Currently if a user logs into Online Banking and cannot remember a password, they are asked two of a set of predetermined list of questions. What the FFIEC has determined is that these questions are not nearly secure enough for today’s social media focused culture. The new authentication system will call or text customers, at the number we have on file, to ensure that the actual customer is the person making the request. If no phone number is on file or the user chooses “Security Questions”, we then ask a series of “Out of Wallet” questions from public records, which may include credit report data. As a reminder, the only option for the Mobile Banking platform is the “Security Questions.”

ATM/Debit Cards

  • Can I use the YourWay Card (ATM/Debit MasterCard) for purchases only?

You can complete an application at any F&M Trust community banking location. And with our expedited issuance, you can get the card in just a few days.

  • How does an ATM/Debit Card work?

An ATM/Debit card works like a credit card to make purchases wherever MasterCard is accepted. You can choose to sign for your purchase or enter you PIN. The card also works like a check, since all purchases are deducted from your primary checking account. And the card allows you to make ATM transactions -balance inquiries, withdrawals, transfers and more.

  • How is an ATM/Debit Card different than a credit card?

While an ATM/Debit card is processed through the MasterCard system, it is not a credit card. The card works like a check - you're using your money. All debit card purchases are deducted from your primary checking account instead of accessing a line of credit as they would in a credit card purchase.

  • What account security measures are in place on my card?

Your card has several security features. For example, you'll receive a Personal Identification Number (PIN) when you receive your new ATM/Debit card. This private number is coded to access your card number only and gives you the added security against anyone else using your card. It's just one more step we take to ensure your safety while you enjoy the convenience of using your new Freedom Card - ATM /Debit MasterCard.
